The routes for 2018-19 are posted. No changes will be made prior to September 12, except for daycare needs or new students who wouldn't otherwise have a stop. If your child will be going to daycare or parents plan to transport to/from school, please notify the Transportation office by email at email@example.com to be sure your child is assigned the correct bus, or not assigned any bus, as the case may be.
**The routes are password protected; you will receive your password with your InfoSnap passwords for the Annual Student Updates in July/August. Please check your Junk or Spam folders if you do not find the email in your inbox at that time .**

Simsbury Bus Drivers
Hiring safe drivers for our buses and vans is an important part of transportation. Please read the Bus Driver Hiring Policies to understand the screening and hiring process all our drivers must go through and the ongoing training during their employment as a driver.
All students who are not in a walking area are assigned a bus to/from home and school during the summer months. It is not assumed that any alternate arrangements you made during the previous school year (i.e. daycare, multiple parent homes) will remain the same for the next school year.
Please fill out the Request for Alternate Transportation form each summer by August 1 in order to have your bus assignment when the new routes are posted. This form can be filled out online if your browser is Internet Explorer or Chrome. Firefox does not support online forms. If your arrangements change again during the current school year, please notify the Transportation Department. Completed forms should be sent to the Transportation Department via:
- Mail - Simsbury Public Schools, 933 Hopmeadow St, Simsbury CT 06070
- Email - firstname.lastname@example.org
- Fax - 860-651-4343
- Dropped off at your school office for forwarding to the Transportation Office
Secondary students at HJM and SHS who remain after school for activities may use the Activity Bus to get home.
Buses leave HJM at 3:50 pm and SHS at 4:00 pm. There are two activity buses, one servicing the north end of town and one servicing the south end. The routes are very general and do not follow the regular routes or regular stops since these two buses essentially cover the same distance as 29 regular routes.
Students who are first-time users of the Activity Bus should tell the driver where they live and ask where the closest stop will be for them to exit the bus. The activity buses do not run on the first 3 days of the school year and they do not run on SHS/HJM early dismissal days. Please contact SHS or HJM at the start of each school year for the date they plan to start running the activity bus.
Simsbury is divided into five elementary school districts. Where you reside will determine which school your child will be attending.
The street listing link is an alphabetical list of Simsbury streets and the school district to which they are assigned. The district map link shows the boundary lines for each district.
