Rethinking School Start Times

Simsbury Public Schools is conducting research on later start times for school. Please see our Rethinking School Start Times page.

Welcome to the Simsbury Public Schools! I am privileged to lead this high-achieving district that is representative of the collective efforts of an entire community and its stakeholders. We take tremendous pride in the vast accomplishments of our students, faculty, and our quality programs.

I encourage you to explore the information on our website; you will find a system deeply devoted to continuous improvement in all aspects of our organization. The administration has developed clear and coherent structures through a strategic plan to support our Board of Education's five-year goals, which are related to these five key areas:

  1. Student achievement
  2. Professionalism - effective teachers and leaders
  3. School Culture
  4. Communication
  5. Resources

Our commitment to excellence continues to be driven by our District Vision, which states: “The Simsbury Public Schools cultivate the mind, body, and character of each student. We engage students with a meaningful and rigorous academic foundation so that they can contribute to a global society with integrity, compassion, and resilience.”

School Climate

We celebrate the many achievements of our students in academics, the arts, and athletics while cultivating personal relationships through the development of positive school climate programs. Our schools foster an environment focused on respect, responsibility, and compassion for others. In addition, students are encouraged to discover their individual talents and interests through participation in our substantial extracurricular offerings.
