Children's Academy

Our programs at both Squadron Line and Latimer Lane are full for the 2026-2027 school year.  Please email  Nikki Mahan for more information or to have your child added to our waiting list.  Thank you!

For those families who had already submitted a Registration Ticket online , please know that as of March 1, 2026, all notifications have been sent out via email.  If you submitted a ticket but did not receive an email, please contact Nikki Mahan to inquire further.

·Registration for the 2026-2027 school year opens to new families as of 1/6/26.   We are so excited to announce our NEW online - only registration! 

·As of 7 am on 1/6/26, you can click Open house here to submit a Registration ticket (through Google forms).  These tickets will be processed in the order they are received until all slots are filled.  The online ticket form will NOT be available for responses to be completed until 7 am on 1/6/26.       

·If you do not have access to the internet, you can come to Squadron Line School anytime between 7 and 8:30 am; we will have Chromebooks available for you to register online there.

-You can fill out one ticket for up to 2 children.  Please note:  BOTH children must reside at the same address and must be registered for the same session(s) in order to put them on the same registration ticket!

·Confirmation/Notification emails will go out as soon as possible (not before 2/1/26).  If your child gets a slot in our Preschool program, you will receive a full registration form to complete, along with instructions and a timeline for payment of the $100 deposit and $30 registration fee with your confirmation email.

·Once all slots are filled, a waiting list will be started.  Families will receive notification via email if their child is added to the waiting list.  Families whose child get a spot but do not pay their $100 deposit and $30 registration fee by the deadline given will lose their spot.

Beginning in the 2012-2013 school year, the Simsbury Preschool program became The Children’s Academy of Simsbury. During the Spring of 2012, the Simsbury Public Schools, along with the Department of Continuing Education, were involved in a Preschool Study, the purpose of which was to define a quality preschool program and to ensure that our current program is in line with the CT Preschool Curriculum and Assessment Frameworks, the English Language Arts Connecticut Preschool Standards, and with current research and best practices.
