Dear Central School Families,
Due to interruptions to our email notification system last week, please see the January 6th message below:
We've completed the first week of the new year and are back in full swing! As I observed in classrooms this week, I watched your children going about their day engaged in learning and enjoying school. Thanks so much for sending us such well-rested, eager, and ready-to-persevere students. It's a key time to remind your children of the importance of mitigation practices and even perhaps improving upon them; masking, social distancing and hand washing remain critical. We fully recognize that all of our mitigation efforts can be taxing on our energies, so your support at home is much appreciated.
Additionally, now that we are back from our winter break we are ready to initiate an important process of collecting vaccination information from families. Please refer to this letter for more information.
Regards,
Beth Hennessy

COVID UPDATE
Please refer to the SPS Website's Dashboard for last week's cases of COVID at Central School. We continue to collaboratively assess cases with the Farmington Valley Health Department in order to respond appropriately. As a reminder, it is imperative that parents, guardians, and staff complete daily health assessments before coming to school. Should anyone feel ill, please stay home. Further, should anyone in our school community test positive for COVID-19 it is critical to notify our school nurse Mrs. Lora Rancourt (lrancourt@simsburyschools.net).
