Dear Squadron Line Families,
Today we learned of a student who tested positive for COVID-19. Their last day in school was Monday, November 15, 2021. In following our protocol, we immediately contacted the Farmington Valley Health District to collaboratively assess the case. Contact tracing was completed for this incident. Those determined to be close contacts were notified of their quarantine expectations. If you have not been notified at this point, it means that, as a result of contact tracing, you are not considered to have been in close contact with a confirmed case.
As a reminder, it is imperative that parents, guardians, and staff complete daily health assessments before coming to school. Should anyone feel ill, please stay home. Further, should anyone in our school community test positive for COVID-19 or come in close contact with someone who has, it is critical for everyone's health and safety to inform the school nurse immediately.
If you have any questions or concerns do not hesitate to reach out to me or our school nurses, Karen Gallagher (kgallagher@simsburyschools.net) and Kristen Dombkowski (kdombkowski@simsburyschools.net).
Warm regards, Meg Evans Principal
