Tootin’ Hills held its Annual Veterans Day Assembly and veterans were invited to join students for lunch. Thank you for your service.

Our students in grades 4-6 were treated to an amazing performance of Bienvenidos: A Celebration of People from the Spanish-Speaking World!  yesterday morning.  They were introduced to Frida Kahlo, Roberto Clemente, Sonia Sotomayor, among others.  Our students in grades K-3 were treated to “Caperucita Roja (Little Red Riding Hood): A Bilingual Bully Prevention Adventure”.

Grade 6 goes to Camp Jewell

Our sixth grade students continued the tradition of going to Camp Jewell this September. They enjoyed the many outdoor activities, including canoeing and the giant swing. They had a great time working together, playing together, and building new friendships.

Tootin' Hills grade 5 students celebrated the end of the school year with a picnic at Town Forest Park and then a sweet treat at Tulmeadow Farm. A delicious culmination of a fabulous year. 

 

FriendzWorldMusic Performs for Elementary Schools

Simsbury Cultural Enrichment Committee brought FriendzWorldMusic to perform at each of the elementary schools. The multifaceted group of musicians, composers, entertainers, and educators with diverse backgrounds. They are professional experts in various music and dance styles, including West African, Afro-Caribbean, calypso, jazz, hip-hop, fusions and much more. They make it their mission to pay homage to their ancestors. Each performance is lively, and engaging.
