Technology Advisory Council

The state no longer requires a technology plan from districts due to changes in the e-Rate regulations. We will continue to create a three-year technology plan for the district. At the meeting of January 28, 2015, the council members did a needs assessment around curriculum, assessment, infrastructure and professional development. Based on these recommendations, input from our Innovation Technology Team teachers, and the administration a technology plan was developed.

Two of the components of the technology plan that have major budgetary impact are:

  • moving to 1:1 in grades 3-12, with take home at the secondary level
  • infrastructure improvements and sustainability (including classroom technology)

This forum has been created for the Technology Advisory Committee members to continue discussions outside of our scheduled meetings. This will afford members who are unable to attend the meetings the opportunity to stay active in the committee by contributing in this forum.
